Vocational Track or College

Scholarship auditions for the Vocational Track and Souza Lima & Berklee College.

Scholarship auditions will be realized every year in our partner schools during the Itinerant SLCE, and each semester at the Conservatory Souza Lima.

All material will be separated by the partner school and auditions made by Souza Lima teachers.

REGULATION

The scholarship concourse it’s open for every music student until 30 years old, that wants to make a classical or popular course. The aim of this promotion is to complete basic or advanced musical knowledgements inside a technician, modern, professional and worthy philosophy, so all candidates must have:

-Material for the inscription.

-A tape or CD with 3 (three) songs of maximum 5 (five) minutes each, a copy of these songs partitures, and at least 2 (two) known repertories (original songs will not be accepted). The recording quality of the CD or tape, even being home-made or studio-made, it’s very important for the avaliation. Also necessary 2 (two) recommendation letters from a music teacher or a musician.

-This material will pass through a pre-selection determinating who will participate or not in the audition. For 15 minutes, an examining board will analyse your first sight reading, performance and Ear Training, but this last item just for singers.
In the performance part it’ll be asked to the candidate to play a standard music, any style. Necessary to bring a musician (s) and 2 (two) copies of the chosen song.

-To attend in a first and only call in the right dates for the theoretical and practice examinations, for the classification.

-According to the classification, must be given a part scholarship for the wanted course.

-For the continuance of the scholarship must be done a new avaliation in an interview with the Assistant of Direction who will considerate the development of the student.

-The participation of the promotion is free and seeks colaboration with the musical teaching in the city and in the State of São Paulo, mainly for the talent and in-needing musicians.

-Director’s decision is unmoved and documented, the practice and instrumental examination will be filed in the School.

-For scholarship students, course will begin in the following semester.

-Candidates that are not classified, can receive a discount in the matriculation fee.

-For classified candidates, all available theoretical classes offered by the School will be put on disposal.

-Declare conscious of the regulation of the Souza Lima Scholarship Promotion and accept all the conditions hereby.
